My studio is in my home. It has a skylight for natural light and
I complement it with a combination of warm and cool fluorescent
lights. A large window lets me look at the garden in the
front yard. I listen to music while I paint and play my wonderful
digital piano during breaks.
But, my family thinks the whole house is my studio! I display
paintings in the living room, paint oils in my studio, photograph
still-life compositions in the workroom, select photographs in
the family room, study cyberart in the den, and prepare my paintings
for shipping downstairs.

Weekends, I go with my husband, Roger Ray, in search of material
for my paintings. We have found many wonderful spots in
Oregon, including beautiful forests and beaches. The Portland
Waterfront Park, where children run through the fountain, is a
favorite place. The Portland
International Rose Test Garden has fabulous roses. Also,
two of the worlds largest iris growers, Schreiner's
and Cooley's, are nearby.
We also have been fortunate to travel overseas and to find fascinating
scenes of daily life.
