| How This Web Site Was Built |

Roger, my husband, is my photographer; I paint from his pictures. Also, he designed and implemented my web site. He worked hard to get good performance and appearance. The site consists of over 200 page files and 400 image files. |

The basic ingredients to the site are high resolution digital scans of my paintings done by a specialist shop here in Portand, Oregon. The site is built from those scans and a database of painting descriptions which are fed into programs that Roger wrote. His programming languages include Java, C++, Perl, KShell, and JavaScript. His imaging tools include a Nikon 990 digital camera, a Canon EOS SLR film camera, an HP color scanner, and an HP color printer. His computing tools include a big Pentium system running Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Premia Codewright, and the MKS Unix shell. Although he is a retired engineering manager, he still likes to code! If you have website suggestions for him, please send me some email. |
