Irises: Special Beauty & Majesty

Irises fascinate me. Their lacy borders and delicate ruffles seem to dance in the sun.

Indeed, their fine detail inspired me to study painting!

I am lucky to have plenty of iris inspiration near my studio. Two renowned growers, Schreiner's and Cooley's, are neighbors. I visit them each spring for painting inspirations.

I also enjoy the Leifer's Iris Test Garden in Washington State.
