| I Love to Paint Roses Too |

Portland, Oregon, where I live,
is called the "City of Roses".
Many gardeners have wonderful displays of these flowers.
The biggest garden, by far, is the fabulous Portland International Rose Test Garden which has thousands of roses in incredible variety. Also, each spring, the city has a Rose Festival, with several days of events, parades, and fun using the rose as a symbol. Several of my rose paintings have won festival prizes. The painting on the left, Rose: Crown Jewel, won the Judge's Choice overall show award in the Portland Rose Festival 2000 Oregon Society of Artists competition. |
