While Anastasia was at home, she consented to some snapshots. I hope you enjoy these little pictures. They are in order from oldest to newest.

Here she was on the deck in her wheelchair, just back from neurosurgery. Note her stylish red hat and her love monkey. Anastasia named her monkey Pimiento (Spanish for "pepper") |

Once, she was strong enough to wander into her new garden. She moved slowly, but with determination. |

I asked her to wave for her friends. Pimiento said hello too. |

Here Anastasia was reading in her sitting room. She and Pimiento started the Da Vinci Code. Of course, they recognized the mathematical code right away. |

April 21, Anastasia rolled into her new studio downstairs. She was very pleased to pick up a brush again! The screen behind her has a projected slide of a flower that she was working on when she had the seizure in February. |

Her loyal servant brought tools as he was commanded! | |

Below, we see Anastasia surveying her garden. She was
with Paul and Agnes. Paul is our landscaper. He has been putting up with
us for 15 years. The garden is his creation. Agnes is our caregiver from
the German speaking part of Switzerland. Achtung! She could command my
Princess and be obeyed!

Here, Anastasia was having her anti-nausea lunch. Each day, she had a chicken sandwich, chicken broth with parmesan cheese, club soda, and the comics. Fortunately, my Princess never wasted time varying her lunch. One year, she had a ham & cheese sandwich 250 days in a row! |
